It is extraordinarily soothing to watch highly skilled ice-skaters glide across the ice in ways that we could have never imagined. Ice-skating is one of the most graceful and magical sports out there.
The body flexibility and movement coordination that comes from these performances are awe-inspiring! People amaze us with their agility and fluidity, and how much practice they must have put in for such good control of their movements. It is well known that rigorous training and hard work are required to reach the very top of ice skating. World-famous ice-skaters Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill both understand the importance of this, and they now judge competitions after a highly distinguished career as skaters.
Sometimes, the duo does get a chance to perform, and they prove that even after a long break from competitive skating, they are just as good, if not better, than they were at their peak.
In March 2019, they gave an incredible performance of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” at the “Dancing On Ice” championships on ITV. After their performance was aired, netizens took to Twitter and other social media channels to share their reactions and views, despite the fact that their bodies have caught up with their age. After their world-record performance during the 1984 Winter Olympics, they continue to amaze fans today.
