A 10-Year-Old Sings “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” And Receives A Standing Ovation

A standing ovation is given as 10-year-old Gracie Wickens-Sweet sings “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” on Britain’s Got Talent.

“I heard of a land somewhere over the rainbow, way up high.”

Once in a lullaby, the skies are blue over the rainbow.

And your dreams do come true if you dare to dream them.

The well-known song from The Wizard of Oz soundtrack that Judy Garland performed was ideal for Gracie’s audition. Gracie Wickens-Sweet answers boldly when one of the judges asks what her dream is.

To perform in front of such a big crowd and be a star, she says. It seems like she will soon fulfill her desire, though!

Gracie radiates confidence as she enters the stage. She also has her mother standing at her side, supporting her from the stands. When you have someone who supports you in that way, as parents do for their children, it surely helps to improve your confidence.

Gracie Wickens-Sweet performs this motivational song during her audition and gives it her best. She also does a great job!

She hit a great note at the very end. What a sweet and gifted young woman! She deserved the judges’ and audience’s standing ovation, of course! Gracie finds it hard to believe and cannot stop grinning as she observes everyone’s response.

Amanda, one of the judges on Britain’s Got Talent, says, “That was just fantastic.”

Gracie Wickens-Sweet’s ability and self-assurance will help her succeed in life! God’s blessings on the aspirations of this great young singer!
